The Viking 56 Convertible is considered by many sport-fishing experts to be an excellent mid-size performer, highly maneuverable on a rampaging marlin while also large enough to offer the comforts of a three-stateroom, two-head traveling yacht. The 2007 Viking 56 called Gianna Marie has been continuously updated by a knowledgeable owner. It’s currently located in Palm Beach, Florida, and offered by HMY Yacht Sales for $1.159 million.
On the main deck, the galley is to port, the dinette is located to starboard and the very comfortable salon is aft. Upgrades include Viking’s home theatre system and a 50-inch Vizio 4K TV in the salon. The galley features six Sub Zero drawers: four refrigerator and two freezer, with a stainless steel sink, a four-burner cooktop, a microwave, and plenty of stowage.

Gianna Marie also features the popular three-stateroom, two-head layout with athwartship master berth, VIP layout forward and crossover berths in the starboard stateroom. Both heads are upgraded with custom one-piece frameless shower doors, Amtico teak soles and Sea Land Magnum Opus heads. The hanging lockers are maple lined in all three cabins and numerous custom touches are evident. The washer and dryer are accessed in the guest head.
Among the recent updates are the following:
The teak cockpit has an unlimited-class fighting chair plus comfortable mezzanine seating.

Yachting previously wrote: “The cockpit has a fishbox, live well, prep station, step cooler and freezer. The teak interior has the same high-gloss UV-resistant coating as the rest of the Viking line. It has a three-stateroom layout with the choice of a centerline forward berth or an offset double with an adjacent single, which creates a fine setup for overnight canyon runs with fishing chums. Depending upon engine choices, expect a cruise speed around 35 knots and a top end near 40 knots, according to the builder.”
At the helm, the updated Garmin electronics are protected by acrylic lids. Note the engine displays and VHF radios in the drop down box in the overhead.
