The Mondo, part of Moomba’s lineup for years, features a redesign for 2026 that offers more performance and more features in a 20-foot package —great for buyers looking to get into watersports.
While the watersports market continues to focus on bigger and bigger boats with more tech and more luxury, Mondo takes the everything-you-need-nothing-you-don’t approach. The advantages of a smaller boat are numerous, whether it’s fuel efficiency, easier towing, easier storage, maneuverability in tight spaces, and access to size-restricted waterways. For 2026, the Mondo comes with a 43-gallon fuel tank, and a ballast system that nearly doubles the boat’s dry weight—3,800 pounds versus 4,000, respectively.
The Mondo’s helm features a 7-inch touchscreen and a mix of analog controls.

On the water, the Mondo looks clean and sporty, especially with its traditional V-shaped bow. Up front, we found a lounge big enough for adults, and perfect for kiddos to enjoy a day on the water. The center cushion repositions to create a padded walk-through or a full playpen area.
The Mondo’s helm features a 7-inch touchscreen and a mix of analog controls. The operating system breaks down into three main screens: the home screen displays vitals, a wake screen for controlling wakesurfing and wakeboarding, and a navigation screen.

Setting up wakesurfing proved a breeze aboard Mondo. Simply tap surf left or right, then tap wave size (large, medium or small), then tap wave shape (steep, medium or mellow). The Mondo will then fill ballast and adjust wake plates and speed accordingly. Of course, you can tweak settings as you go, then save those settings to individual rider profiles for later use. And to top it off, the Mondo kicks up a killer wake and wave that will definitely surprise you. With the ballast full and a couple people in the boat, riders at a variety of skill levels will enjoy the action. The helm also features a Fusion stereo and two wireless phone chargers.
Rated for 12 people and packing a big punch for its size, the Mondo may be the best bang-for-buck boat on the market, especially in the under-21-feet length overall category. Waterssports boat buyers take note.
The Mondo makes it easy to get in and out of the water.
